NugSmasher 14 Gram Premium Extraction Rosin Bags - Pack of 12
Premium double stitched extraction bags 3" x 4.5" - 14 gram capacity - Handmade in the USA from high quality food-grade material!
Nugsmasher extraction bags, these bags are recommended for optimal yield and clean quality rosin. NugSmasher bags are hand-made in the USA and are specifically designed to work with the weight of fresh cured flower together with NugSmasher extraction machines.
NugSmasher bags are labeled accordingly at:
-
3.5g (1.1g-3.5g)
-
7g (3.6g-7g)
-
14g (7.1g-14g)
These values assume the bags are loaded (BTS) or bottle/barrel-tech style (upright so that you end up with the round coin-like puck once fully pressed). This perfected method allows you the ability to put the proper weight of flower into the bag and get a consistent extraction every time. This method also allows for the proper pounds per square inch of pressure (PSI) on your product and eliminates the guess work.
-
3.5g bag (1.1g-3.5g) = 1.5"-1.6”Diameter
-
7g bag (3.6g-7g) = 2"-2.2”Diameter
-
14g bag (7.1g-14g) = 2.4"-2.7"Diameter
As the micron gets smaller the Diameter get larger, this is the reason for the variance in the diameter numbers above. We prefer to use 160 micron for fresh flower, as flower dries we go down in micron screen size (for dry flower use 90 micron). Micron size determines the diameter (surface area) of the smashed bag. For nugs 1g and smaller no bag is necessary.
FAQs
What is the appropriate micron size?
While any micron size can be used for any material, specific micron sizes are better suited for different types of material and can increase yield.
- For compressed pollen, kief, dry sift, 90 micron bag are recommended as it will provide the most filtration.
- For trim and shake, 90 micron bags are preferred as, again, it will provide the necessary filtration and result in a higher quality end product.
- For flowers, a 120 micron bag is recommended.
Which material is the best?
You can use any type of material with the various rosin presses but different materials will produce different results. Generally, the higher quality and more concentrated the material already is, the more rosin you will produce. Below is a rough estimate you can expect depending on the material:
Trim will generally give you a return of 3% - 8% rosin
- Shake will generally return 8% - 15% rosin
- Flowers/bud will return 15% - 30% rosin
- Kief or Dry Sift will return 30% - 60%
- Compressed pollen will return 30% - 70%
