PROGROW 850 Light Iintensity

Crop yields are a function of light intensity. Recent studies show that PPFD levels up to 1500 umols/m2/s will generate a proportional increase in yields as long as other critical inputs are kept in balance. These include CO2, water and nutrients. The PROGROW 850 will deliver PPFD levels in excess of 1400 umol/m2/s whether it is arranged individually or in a multi-unit array. We recommend that all growers study and experiment within their grow space to come up with the best combination of inputs.


Recommended Hanging Heights and PPFD Levels ​

  • Seedling - 36" to 48" hanging height, 200 to 300 umols/m2/s
  • Vegetative - 24 ” to 36" hanging height, 300 to 600 umols/m2/s
  • Flower - 12" to 36" hanging height, 600 to 1,500 umols/m2/s (Note: CO2 supplementation is necessary for higher PPFD levels)

In order to adjust and acheive target PPFD levels from phase to phase throughout the cultivation cycle, it is recommended that growers use a PAR meter in combination with hang height and dimming. The PAR maps and tent configurations shown below are meant to provide general guidance.

    Warranty Policy

    Subject to the exclusions set forth on the Grow Light Science website www.growlightscience.com, Grow Light Science LLC. ("Grow") warrants its light emitting diode luminaires, including the LED arrays and the LED drivers and integral control devices for all Grow products, to be free from defect in material and workmanship (the “Limited Warranty”) for a period of 5 years from the date of shipment from Grow facilities. Grow warrants its dimmers and other LED Luminaire controlling products (“LED Controllers”) to be free from defect in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment from Grow facilities.  The LED arrays in the LED Luminaire(s) will be considered defective in material or workmanship only if a total of 15% or more of the individual light emitting diodes in the LED Luminaire(s) fail to illuminate or any standard finish or coating on a product shows cracking, peeling, excessive fading or corrosion defects during applicable warranty period.

    Return & Exchange Policy

    If at any time during the first 120 days following delivery of GROW 200 or GROW 300 product you are dissatisfied, you may elect to return the product for a full refund (excluding shipping). A maximum of two (2) fixtures may be returned. Product must be in "like new condition"  (no dirt, marks, scratches, or damage of any kind). Product must be returned with all original packaging and contents. An RMA (return merchandise authorization) must be requested of and issued by Grow Light Science prior to return. For RMA during 120 day satisfaction guarantee, please send an email request to: support@growlightscience.com. 

    For warranty replacements, please send an email to support@growlightscience.com for complete instructions. If approved, our team will issue an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) and replacement product will be sent out upon receipt of the defective units. Grow Light Science will either replace or repair the defective unit based upon our discretion. Items returned without an RMA number will be rejected and returned to sender. In situations where replacements are needed prior to the return of defective product, please call us direct at (419)343-3294 to submit a request. Customers requesting an advance replacement will be required to provide payment information for a replacement unit which Grow Light Science will keep as a pending charge for the original cost of the item. Once we receive the defective item, the unit will be examined for accessories and physical damage. If after review all accessories are present and the unit is in “good” condition, then the pending charge will be voided. If Grow Light Science does not receive the defective unit back within 25 days from the shipment of the replacement, we will formally charge your credit card and the replacement unit will be yours to keep. Exemptions apply.
