Choosing Air Compressor
We recommend an air compressor that reaches at least 120 psi but ideally 140 psi for full utilization of the rosin press that has a tank size of 20 gallons, at a minimum.
An Example
"I need an air compressor and I want to run 1 Pikes Peak Press as well as a pneumatic air tool that requires 11 CFM at 120 psi. Which air compressor should I buy?"
Add up the CFM ratings: 1.7 (Pikes Peak Press) + 11 (Miscellaneous Air Tool) = 12.7 CFM
Multiply by 1.3 for wiggle room: 12.7 x 1.3 = 16.5 CFM
Multiply by 1.2 for Denver's altitude: 16.5 x 1.2 = 19.8 CFM
Your air requirement is roughly 20 CFM
Input Requirements
115 VAC @ 10A maximum
20 to 120 psi compressed air
Requires 1.7 CFM compressed air
Dry, clean air is important for product longevity
PurePressure's rosin press utilizes two separate heat plate assemblies, each with two heating rods and a thermocouple. For this reason, we're extremely confident in the accuracy of the temperature readings as well as the heat output. The thermocouples require no calibration and we verify that they are within spec long before they are installed in the presses.
Maintenance
The rosin presses are engineered specifically to not require regular servicing, although there are a few things to keep in mind to ensure that your press always is running smoothly.
Ensure that you are only using clean, dry compressed air when operating the press. This will increase the life of the air regulator and the internal air transfer components. The pneumatic cylinder is oil-less and maintenance-free.
Use parchment paper every time you press to keep your heat plates free of oils and debris. If you do get oil on your heat plates, they can easily be cleaned with denatured alcohol. We recommend that you clean your heat plates when they are not hot to avoid any burns.
PurePressure's rosin presses are built to last for many years with proper care. We want you to be satisfied with your equipment so if there are ever any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. PurePressure guarantees the following warranty coverage:
Lifetime end-user support.
2 year limited warranty against manufacturing defects for structural components (frame, truss, and support legs) and pneumatic cylinder.
1 year limited warranty against manufacturing defects for the entire press including electronic and pneumatic components.
